PRAGG1, in partnership with Helvetas’ Regional Advocacy Network, invites civil society organizations to participate in DevPolHack, a collaborative social innovation event. This is your chance to develop and implement a winning advocacy solution!
DevPolHack is a collaborative event of the Helvetas Regional Advocacy Network which brings together development professionals, policymakers, and innovators to tackle pressing development challenges through creative problem-solving and technological innovation. Participants work in teams to develop actionable solutions and policy recommendations, aiming to drive impactful change. The event will take place between 29th – 31st of October 2024 in Sarajevo. Participation costs will be covered.
If you are active in the field of environmental issues2 and want to address problems by engaging with authorities and private sector players in BiH, you are welcome to apply!!
If selected as an Innovation Partner:
– you will be invited to participate in a one-day DevPolHack event with at least three nominated persons/representatives who support and understand the challenge you proposed.
During the event, skilled mentors will support the competing teams, composed of experienced RAN members and your representatives, in developing solutions to the advocacy challenge you finetune during a preparatory meeting. At the end of the DevPolHack, a jury with relevant experience, including you as the Innovation Partner, will choose the winning proposal to the challenge.
– in accordance with its Grant Manual’s rules, PRAGG will offer you the chance to implement your advocacy campaign based on the idea you develop further into a project proposal with the assistance of PRAGG with a grant of up to 25,000 CHF.3
Selection process for Innovation Partners
Submission of proposals: submit your proposal by completing the application form by noon 23rd of September 2024. Only complete applications will be considered.
Evaluation and selection: The selection committee, consisting of a representative from Helvetas Regional Advocacy Network and two experts of PRAGG will evaluate the applications.
Notification and invitation: Applicants will be notified within 14 days after the application deadline.
Agreement: Memorandum of Understanding with the selected Innovation Partner will be signed about the mutual roles in the DevPolHack.
